About Jeremy Duncan

Hi, I'm Jeremy Duncan, a Full Stack Engineer with a background in the United States Navy. My journey in technology has been driven by a passion for solving complex problems and a love for creating logical solutions. I believe in using technology to make a positive impact, whether it's through innovative software or fostering collaboration within teams.

What I Do

I specialize in building full-stack applications using a variety of technologies, including Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS, PostgreSQL, and more. I enjoy the challenge of turning complex requirements into elegant, functional software. Pair programming and Test-Driven Development (TDD) are my preferred approaches, allowing me to create robust code and work collaboratively.

My Background

I spent over a decade in the US Navy, where I developed strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of teamwork. After my military service, I pursued a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems and Software Programming, graduating with Summa Cum Laude honors. I further honed my skills through a Full-Stack Engineering program at LEARN Academy.

Outside of Work

When I'm not coding, I enjoy exploring new technologies and learning new skills. I believe in lifelong learning and often take on personal projects to keep my skills sharp. In my downtime, I like to spend time with my family, play video games, and travel to new places.
